A levelling foot or free floating foot is the most common method of point loading a single ended load cell. These are threaded into the end of the load cell and used to transfer the weight to the ground.
The single ended load cell can be used as the weigh sensor in a variety of applications including floor scales, blenders, hoppers, tank scales, and platform sensors. Point loading can take place via load cell assemblies or via levelling feet / free floating feet.
